So the good news is that Weather Willy, your favorite Broad Ripple cafe weathercaster, is actually on up on a Wednesday today. The bad news is, this recording was taped Tuesday and has been posted LATE, so you've already been through the brunt Weather Willy mentions in the first part of his report. But his predictions came true, you'll see! And he has the scoop for the rest of the week as well.

People made their Black Fridays a little lighter last week stopping in in droves to get a taste of our Vanilla Spice Latte and our newest twinkling star, the Peppermint Mocha: Picture our silky smooth mocha (awww yeah). Weather Willy says we've been having an Indian something -- not quite summer, but not quite winter either. Of course, it is fall, so it can't be an Indian that either, at least as per the saying.

And why does the Crème de Pomme have SOY instead of COW milk? That's a question that comes up a lot.

Our answer: Because that’s how its creator originally ordered it: Caramel, cider and a touch of soy. We thought the soy was so good in it, we never swapped ingredients. And why would we? Soy milk has much less fat than regular, and many say it helps reduce cholesterol. But we just think its creamy, nutty flavor goes quite well with the sweet apple bite. 

Of course, you can order the drink with regular milk, and our baristas will be happy to oblige your wishes. But just for us, try it the other way first: We have the best Indianapolis coffee, so we must be doing drinks right!

That's right--it's cold enough to give the ol' slushies the nix after this weekend. But Weather Willy says we'll have a temperate, sunny Saturday, so come in and get a frozen creme de pomme, pumpkin chocolate chip freeze or any other icy goodness from our little Broad Ripple cafe to tide you over until spring.
